Bacardi
Relocation to a new sub-market & brand repositioning
Bacardi turned to C&W with a brief to lease less space and in a more pioneering location than the existing self-contained office in Marylebone. The client was keen to find a location and building that was better aligned to the brand, and at a cost that was acceptable. Bacardi was tied in to lease commitments at its existing premises so engaged C&W both to acquire a new premises and, back-to-back, to dispose of its current space.
C&W conducted a comprehensive search of suitable office submarkets across central London. A desirable option was found opposite the historic Spitalfields Market in the Steward Building. This delivered a high quality ‘creative’ solution in a location that is both cutting-edge and sufficiently well established to have the necessary infrastructure and amenity. The area will also enjoy the future benefit of being minutes from the new Crossrail station at Liverpool Street.
In summary, C&W helped Bacardi to relocate and downsize from 26,000 sq ft at Dorset Square in Marylebone to 9,500 sq ft in Shoreditch, as well as disposing of its remaining lease commitments at the former location. In addition, C&W’s Project Management team was instructed to advise on and help deliver a ‘turn key’ fit out solution.
